A 15-day safari across three of Africa's most iconic wildernesses
From a coffee plantation in Moshi to the vast golden plains of the Serengeti and the ancient bowl of Ngorongoro — eleven days tracing one of Africa's most spectacular wildlife landscapes.
Evening departure from Geneva on Ethiopian Airlines (20:05). Overnight flight via Addis Ababa, arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport the following morning.
Arrive at 10:45AM. Head to Moshi for a guided coffee plantation tour — from bean to cup. Evening transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Morning visit to the Cultural Heritage Centre in Arusha — East Africa's finest collection of art, jewellery and crafts. Packed lunch en route as you drive into Serengeti National Park.
Game drives across the central Serengeti, pushing north toward the Mara River. Lions, cheetahs and elephants roam freely across one of Africa's most iconic landscapes.
Morning and afternoon game drives through the northern Serengeti. Track predator activity along the Mara River corridor — prime territory for the great migration.
Christmas Eve under the African sky. Morning game drive in the northern Serengeti, followed by a special dinner at camp beneath a canopy of stars.
Christmas morning game drive along the Mara River — an unforgettable way to celebrate. Special Christmas lunch and dinner at camp on the Serengeti plains.
Last full day in the Serengeti — morning and evening game drives across the central plains before heading south toward Ngorongoro tomorrow.
Drive south from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Arrive at your crater-rim lodge in time for sundowners and sweeping views.
Morning walking safari on the crater rim with a ranger guide. Return to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon taking in the views over the crater floor below.
Full game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater — lions, elephants, flamingos and black rhinos in a single bowl. Late afternoon drive to Arusha ahead of tomorrow's flight to Kigali.
From Kigali's vibrant streets, cross into the mist-cloaked forests of southwestern Uganda — where a life-changing encounter with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi forms the unforgettable crescendo of the journey.
Transfer to Arusha Airport for the 12:05 flight to Kigali, Rwanda. Arrive in the afternoon and check in to your hotel in the Rwandan capital. Evening at leisure before tomorrow's drive to Bwindi.
Scenic drive from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, crossing the border through the highlands. Arrive at your forest-edge lodge for a New Year's Eve dinner and gorilla trek briefing.
An extraordinary start to the New Year. Brief at park HQ, then trek through dense rainforest for a life-changing hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family. Return to the lodge, then drive back to Kigali.
A morning to explore Kigali — visit the Genocide Memorial or stroll through the city's markets and cafés. Transfer to the airport for your flight home departing at 17:40. Arrival in Geneva on Sunday 3rd January at 06:00. Thank you for travelling with Kabani Safaris.
Two extraordinary local guides anchor your journey — Ahadi in Tanzania and Keneth in Uganda. Each brings deep regional knowledge, language fluency and a personal connection to the wildlife and communities you'll encounter.
Ahadi is from the Kilimanjaro region and belongs to the Pare tribe. With over 16 years of experience guiding safaris across Tanzania, he studied mammal science and natural park conservation at the African Wildlife College in Moshi. His deep knowledge of the land — from the vast Serengeti to the volcanic shores of Lake Natron — gives travellers an unparalleled window into Tanzania's wildlife and ecosystems.
Keneth is a Uganda-based safari operator who leads private journeys across East Africa — Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. From the mountain gorillas of Bwindi to the chimpanzee forests of Kibale, Keneth pairs iconic wildlife with the warmth of community and culture. Travellers consistently note his attention to detail, calm pace and long-standing relationships with conservation areas across the region.
